New Feature

Check out our features page, where this week we showcase Vindicate!, a workshop and exhibition run by Graduate Associate Member of HCA, Helen Loy at CRC library shortly before lockdown as well as links to an exciting challenge currently running at TextileArtist.org, and an embroidered response from Debbie Parker, BA (Hons) CDC student.

Support for artists

Please continue to look at New Art West Midlands opportunities board, which has lots of online opportunities for artists and creatives.

There are two chances to apply for funding support during COVID-19 from the Arts Council. So, if you’re a graduate or current struggling because of income from creative work lost through the COVID crisis, please visit their pages and find out more. You have until the 30th April to apply.

Enterprise Psychogeography pinboard

Huge thanks to those participating in our Enterprise Psychogeography activity last week. There’s still chance to join in, as I’ll keep the pinboard open until we have our next Enterprise Thursday activity on the 21st April.

Forthcoming Enterprise online sessions

We’ll be launching some optional online Enterprise sessions on Studentnet from the 20th April. These are open to all current students (although more specifically aimed at L5 and above) and Graduate Associate Members of HCA. You can read more about the content of each session here. Each session will be open for two weeks so that participants can complete activities in their own time. I’ll be facilitating and commenting whilst each course is open.

We start the sessions off with Reflecting on a personal digital professional profile, offering participants to reflect on their unique creative practice, but also their potential audience and how they might reach out to them. If you have any questions about the online sessions, please email me. I will be taking some leave at the end of this week but will respond as soon as I’m back in work.
